Ward Payne Mortice Chisel - Broad Arrow W.D Marked - Also Stamped C & M 1887

I'm not sure what the C & M 1887 refers to, this looks like it has been put on at a later date, bit of a mystery chisel!

1/2" width and a total length of around 13 1/2"

Handle all secure but a bit rough around edges, user name also stamped on handle.
