Edward Preston 1371 Dovetailed Smoothing Plane

Looking at the Preston Catalogue this is a 1371 though model number not stamped on plane.

With Preston Inon.

All in good order, BUT there is a mend on the top of the handle as shown, this doesn't seem weak though and doesn't detract too much.

Iron around 2 1/8" width.

5/32" thickness parallel Iron.

Dovetail can just about be seen on one edge near the back of the plane.

Some rust staining but in general all ok.
