Vintage Translucent (Around Edges) Arkansas Sharpening Stone

This stone measures 8" x 2" x 1"

I'm no expert in sharpening stones though I have sold several hundreds over the years, and I think this is Arkansas though please look closely at the photo's to come to your own conclusion.

When held up to light it is slightly translucent near the edges.

Some chips around the edges and may need a clean, one side a little rougher in condition than the other, The crack showning is very tin and you can't get a fingernail in it, it seems solid and not weakend it, no major dips or a dish but may need to be lapped flat.

Box damaged and cracked, needs a nail gluing on the lid.

Caramel in colour and smooth on both sides.
