This is an example of the earliest metal plough planes known, this example isn't perfect but getting an increasingly rare plane to find. The brass name badge is unfortunately missing but it is stmped Silcock's Patent on the front of the plane. The handle also has some damage and is cracked but doesn't seem to be loose.
Only one cutter with this but this is the original named cutter. The small plate that tightens up with the screw on the depth stop looks to be a replacement.
Rust staining as expected but in general apart from the above mentioned, all quite good.
